1) Feelings - Be pure, be honest. Write your heart out and let the feelings flow. Break the boundaries. Write everything that your heart shouts, don't be shy anymore. Don't say letting feelings out is not your cup of tea. Remember this single poem can change your life. Shake of your egoism. Shake of all that pride and prejudice that you hold in the hearts of your hearts.
For example,
Living Life without you,
Like a stray cloud I sway,
How I tell you O dear,
To God I daily pray

2) Naustalgia :-
So, you remember the first time you saw them, right? You remember the first time they smiled. You remember the times when they walked away, too. (In some cases. Not everyone is Edward Cullen to get Bella so easily).
You have to let them know you remember all these things. You've to convey that you're completely up to date with all your encounters. Well, you might even mention them the dress they wore.
For example,
Not on senses I was,
The first time I saw you,
From the dull boring ambience,
You came out in blue.

3) FLATTER THEM :- I know I said above to be honest, but I'm very conscious when I say to flatter them. Well, to be true, I am just saying to paint fiction of their grace. It ain't just a co-incidence that adrenaline is on rush when you see them, is it? Why, then why not elaborate that in a different way? Tell them the're capable of making you vulnerable. Tell them they're supernatural, like angels. Tell them they are the best thing ever happened to you.
Ex :- The radiance of your grace,
Lit the gay light,
To Kneel Before you or to run,
Was my plight.

4) Describe Your Love :-
No, you don't need to fight every person if there's no need. But you can tell your beloved you'll be there for them, whatever the catastrophe. You'll make them smile with your jokes. You'll hug them when they feel cold. You'll be around through every mood. You'll hug them when they are cold.
Ex. A last wish,
In my heart I bear,
Whatever may happen;
I'll be with you dear

5) Make A Climax :-
Make a vow. Make a proposal. Make them fall for you by something she loves. Claim that you're the best for them. Tell them you're the best person they could have in their life. Confess whatever you are to do for them. Make their heart melt by your words.
Ex As I confess O dear,
The feelings I have for you,
I vow to you a bond of life,
I truly utterly love you.

Elements Of Poetry - Imagery

So so so.. Why are we here? Certainly, in this short guide which I write along with love poems on this blog, I strive to make poetry renown in every realm of the forbidden. We have already read Traditional Types Of Poetry , covering Didactic Poetry, Acrostic Poetry and Ballads. Yes, there are more too.
However, I considered it essential to learn side by side the elements of poetry

What Are The Elements Of Poetry?

Specifically, elements of poetry can be defined as a set of instruments used to create a poem. Many of these were created thousands of years ago and have been linked to ancient story tellings. They help bring imagination and emotion to poetry, stories, and dramas.

We're learning about imagery first.

What is imagery? What is its importance in poetry?

Imagery is an important tool in poetry. When you hear the term imagery, you might think of visual images. Imagery, however, can and should involve all five senses: sight, sound, smell, touch, and taste.
Language that describes things we can see, hear, smell, touch, or taste is known as concrete language.
Good poetryis generally rich in imagery. It is descriptive. The reader can imagine actually seeing or hearing or touching the things described. Imagery shows rather than tells, which is important in good poetry.
Imagery is often used in a poem to evoke emotions in the reader. Here we talk about love, depression, grief, repentence, revenge, anger.
A poem which describes a dark sky and oppressive, heavy air gives us a sense of foreboding, like we have just before a storm. A poem about a braided rug on a polished floor the color of honey and a crackling fire gives us a cozy, homey kind of feeling.
Imagery involves details. If I write a poem about a rug on a floor, that does not invoke the kind of emotion that would be invoked by a poem about a braided rug on a floor the color of honey.

Examples of Imagery

Considering imagery in poetry, I provide mainly imagery in the niche that I love and serve,
LOVE POEMS.
Let's read this poem 'The Road Not Taken' by Robert Frost
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that, the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I,
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference..

Traditional Types Of Poetry - SONNETS

After learning about different types of traditional poetry such as Acrostic Poetry, Ballad Poetry and Didactic Poetry, we're climbing our next step to the staircase that leads to the temple of poetry.

Today, I introduce to you another form of traditional poetry, called 'Sonnet'. Sounds familiar, doesn't it? Let's learn more about sonnet.

Coming to the main question,
What is a Sonnet?

A Sonnet is a poem consisting of 14 lines (iambic pentameter) with a particular rhyming scheme:
Examples of a rhyming scheme:
#1) abab cdcd efef gg
#2) abba cddc effe gg
#3) abba abba cdcd cd
A Shakespearean (English) sonnet has three quatrains and a couplet, and rhymesabab cdcd efef gg.
An Italian sonnet is composed of an octave, rhymingabbaabba, and a sestet, rhymingcdecde or cdcdcd, or in some variant pattern, but with no closing couplet.
Usually, English and Italian Sonnets have 10 syllables per line, but Italian Sonnets can also have 11 syllables per line.
French sonnets follow in this same pattern, but normally have 12 syllables per line.

A Lovely Sonnet
It I could write a lovely sonnet
What a wonderful blessing it would be
With a pen in hand and thoughts so honest
I would diversify my poetry

To go with the odes I share with the world
In addition to all my love ballads
A lovely sonnet would impress the girls
If they believed what they read was valid

As a poet out of his comfort zone
I would be happy that I took a chance
With the thought I had come into my own
I'd gladly write about love and romance

I'd encase my heart in a gold locket
Oh if I could write a lovely sonnet

"The First Romance Night"
With the sun that sets and hides,
Start a new voyage in dim light;
Little away from the rain-splattered window,
Cuddle and giggle a groom and bride.
As I taste the sweetness of her neck,
I see in her eyes; the love so genuine,
She runs her fingers in my hair,
Oh how I love this feminine!
The talc of rose on her back,
And her tingling touch arouse my senses;
With her hands embracing me, she rises
Leaning above the bed to cup my face.
Sipping elixir I feel as I taste her mouth,
Knowing she is mine; my hands stray south..

If you have a blog or website, then you won't wish to neglect SEO.

What is SEO and what has it to do with your poetry blog?

Whenever you enter a query in a search engine and hit 'enter' you get a list of web results that contain that query term. Users normally tend to visit websites that are at the top of this list as they perceive those to be more relevant to the query. If you have ever wondered why some of these websites rank better than the others then you must know that it is because of a powerful web marketing technique called Search Engine Optimization (SEO).

SEO is a technique which helps search engines find and rank your site higher than the millions of other sites in response to a search query. SEO thus helps you get traffic from search engines.
Internet is a vast realm . It is certainly applausible that you cannot wish your site gets the first place in the search results. Well, mine did.
How?
When you search 'deep love poems' on Google, the first result is none other that 'LOVE POEMS DEEP FROM THE HEART'.
If you think I've paid Google to get the first rank, let me tell you this is what desperate newbies think. But if you give it a little thought, you'll see my point.
The first place that I've achieved is for a particular keyword, not for every keyword relevant to poetry and poems.

1) KEYWORDS 

On blogger, when you type a post, there's an option of 'Search Description'. If you're leaving it blank, it's one of the main reasons you're here.
In Search Description, you are eligible to mention the relevant keywords.
Keywords play a very important role in SEO. Keywords, simply put, are the words that we use to find a query on Search Engines. Apparently, you searched 'Blogging tips for poetry bloggers' and indirectly Google redirected to you here. 

How to use keywords? 

Consider you just have got a crush. You want to impress them with a poem. You certainly will search it on Search Engines like Google, Yahoo, Bing, etc.
What will you type in the search box? Let me read your mind - Love poem, deep love poem, love poem for a woman, lovely poem for crush.
Instead of saving anything in the Meta Keywords box, consider yourself in place of your reader. That's it! You've just learnt the basic technique of SEO. Ain't that easy?

2) Social Networking

One of the best source of getting traffic to your poetry blog is through social networks. Start up with a facebook page of your blog today, promote it and get a fanbase. Be in touch with your readers. Update regularly. Join random poetry groups on Google+ and Facebook and share your poetry in it. Share the link URL of your poetry blog.!
From time to time, you can post links in google plus communities.


3) POETRY FORUMS

There are numerous poetry forums on the Internet. Join any one of them, befriend with poets and let them know of the blog or site that you own. Include the link to your site in your signature.
One of the best poetry forums is family friend poems. You can also post on Reddit subreddits that are related to poetry.

4) Get backlinks via commenting on poetry and prose across the internet. Take note  that to promote your blog/blog post, you comment the correct link.

Note - Don't go on  commenting your link on irrelevant posts. Google penalises those links that are spammed.

You can also get a good amount of backlinks to your poetry blog by posting link on literary websites such as Reddit, Write-up Cafe, etc.

~ Tips and Tricks in a nutshell ~
1) Learn SEO and value its importance.
2) Keywords - Be consistent with one Keyword.
3) Create a platform of your poetry blog on Social Networking Sites.
4) Join Poetry Forums. Post on groups on social networking sites.
5) Update Your Blog Once or Twice A Week.
6) Write By Your Heart .

Traditional Types of Poetry : Didactic Poetry

Sailing through the sea of traditional poetry, we are gradually approaching our destination; destination to being a poet, a poet who not only knows the types of poetry. Rathar, a poet is an artist who strives to invent a type of poetry of his own, which the world would revere. A poet is a philosopher, indulging in solipsism and distress, like me. In my last post, we came across Ballad Poetry , a play of narration and refrain. Let us move to the next type - Didactic Poetry.
What is Didactic Poetry? Didactic Poetry is a form of poetry intended for instruction such as for knowledge or to teach.
Example:
'Recipe For Heavenly Destination'
To get to Heaven
And stay with Christ
Follow this recipe
And his face you will see
Love
Love your neighbor
Love everyman
Spread the love as much as you can
Pray
Talk to the Lord
Show Him you care
With Him your feelings and worries share
Follow
Follow his teachings
Follow his way
Wherever he goes, follow you may
Lead
Lead the ones who don't see
Lead the ones that don't feel the love
Lead them to the Lord above

Traditional Types of Poetry : Ballad

In my last post for aspiring poets, I began the introduction to the traditional types of poetry with the first type Acrostic Poetry . Now, we are moving to the next type - Ballad.
A Ballad is a short narrative poem with stanzas of two or four lines and usually a refrain. The story of a ballad can originate from a wide range of subject matter but most frequently deals with folk-lore or infamous legends. They are written in straight-forward verse, seldom with detail, but always with graphic simplicity and force. Most ballads are suitable for singing and, while sometimes varied in practice, are generally written in ballad meter, i.e., alternating lines of iambic tetrameter and iambic trimeter, with the last words of the second and fourth lines rhyming.
Example:
The Ballad of Marian Blacktree
Refrain:
Oh, do you know the mountain road
That leads to yonder peak?
A few will walk that trail alone,
Their dreams they go to seek.
(I)
One such was Marian Blacktree,
A lowly sheperdess,
And courting her was Tom, the swain,
Who loved her nonetheless.
(II)
A thought occurred to Marian
While watching o'er her sheep,
And gazing at the mountain thus
She nodded off to sleep.
(Refrain)
(III)
That night she came to Tom and said
She longed to know the sky.
"I'm weary of this valley, love,
I want to learn to fly!"
(IV)
Poor Thomas did not want to leave,
This valley was all he knew.
So when she turned and left him there
Her heart, it broke in two.
(Refrain)
(V)
Her faithful swain did track her,
All night the trail led on,
And finally at the mountain top
He looked, but she was gone.
(VI)

Traditional Types of Poetry - Acrostic Poetry

I think it is quite obligatory for a poet to know the different types of poetry. A knowledge about these types, which are undoubtedly, an awe of words is must.
Let me elaborate. For example, a secret agent must know of the different weapons and tactics used against enemies. Only then he will get success in his missions. Similarly, poet must acknowledge the different types of poetry, because words are mightier than swords. Here, I start with Traditional Poetry. Traditional Poetry has a wide range of different types of poetry forms.
We are now starting with the type 'Acrostic Poetry'.
Acrostic Poetry has its origin through the Middle French and Greek languages, from the words 'acrostiche' in Middle French and from 'akrosticis' in Greek. This type of poetry was first composed in 1530 AD.
Acrostic Poetry is where the first letter of each line spells a word, usually using the same words as in the title.
For Example, read carefully this poem I wrote.
'Relationship'
Real and true, A bond;
Eternally for promised,
Love and affection as ingredient,
A relationship's vow till demise.
T's token of the feelings,
Intersecting and forming a duet,
Out of them emerges,
Noble-hearted artist, a painter, a poet.
Serene and spontanious a story;
Having him and her nurturing trust,
In between them lies this bond
Pure, divine; despising lust... 

Example #2:
'Heartbreaking'
He broke my heart
Every piece, shattered
All I wanted was his love
Real, as he promised
True, as mine for him
But he walked away
Right in the middle of paradise
Every beat of my heart
Aches for his love
Keeping the flame aglow
I will wait by the light
Never losing the hope
God will send him back to me

Family Friend Poems : An awesome poetry forum for the poets

We write poems. Readers read them. But what if, we write poems and other poets read them? Review them? Comment on them?
What more does a poet want!
We artists usually strive to get our creations viewed by the artists we admire. The contentment of getting a poem reviewed and rated by another poet, getting ideas from them, makes up a poet more confident with his poems. I was searching for such type of forum when Google redirected me to Family Friend Poems . I signed up, posted poems, rated them. I am now in touch with the best of poets! I find a few of them regularly reading my poems and guiding me about my pros and cons. It is now, I think, that the real adventure in the realm of poetry begins. What to write? How to rhyme? - Advice to the freshers.

A many of aspiring poets come across the question "what to write?". These are the people who, either, have fallen in love with someone or they have developed their thinking power and changed their outlook to life, or they are too much lured by the concept of poetry. Driven by the power of rhymes so pleasing to the soul, they have sometime sought inner peace and they endeavour to bestow this peace to others. Poetry and poetics welcomes everyone in its realm. Who knows, a poet who, starts his day by singing a poem, might in the future, write a masterpiece. A aspiring poet reads a lot poem everyday, but still cant a topic to write. He/She is quite perplexed on the topic on which their vocabulary may assist and they may hit the ground runnin. For a mere poem to be composed, they write something that rhymes but doesnt express. Rathar, pouring their heart out, not necessarily rhyming the words, but painting their creation with imagery at the first place, surely helps them compose a "poem". My advice to such aspiring poets who are vexed with the question "what to write?" is - 1) Write on a topic that you feel quite acquainted about, a topic that makes you think deeply. 2) Primarily, do not focus on the rhyme. Write your heart out. Your first poem need not be a masterpiece afterall. 3) Mainly, do not take up this epoch to compose a poem in any way possible. Instead, a time will come when a random topic flashes in your head and your hands cannot endure to be still. A pen and page is sufficient for the words from your heart to be imprinted. Next, if you have sought a desired topic, remember that 'something that rhymes isn't a poem'. Actually a poem is something that rhymes. There's a heck lot difference between these two lines. Try to find it out. It is your first step to think and to write. :)
