You Broke Me - A Broken Heart Poem

This is a Broken Heart Poem by Ronald Doe

A Poem that will make you cry

You Broke Me

You broke into a smile
On the days our eyes first met
Elegance, grace and style
True beauty I can't forget
Broke into my tender heart
You picked the lock to my soul
Master thief right from the start
My inner feelings you stole
You broke into a dead run
When we walked along the beach
Told me rays from the bright sun
Would always be in our reach
Broke into my piggy bank
You stole my very last dime
Said I was the one to thank
You wore new clothes all the time
You broke into a loud laugh
When I told you I loved you
Broke my tender heart in half
When you said I was a fool
Broke into my bank account
Went and stole my credit card
Said you’d pay the whole amount
If the times weren’t so damn hard
Broke into a movie star
When I got on bended knee
Like the actress that you are
When I said, “Please marry me”.
You broke into the ring box
Placed it upon your finger
You broke into your love talks
“A diamond's shine does linger.”
You broke into hysterics,
Minute after I proposed.
Broke into your bag of tricks
“To the ring I’m not opposed.”
You broke into a smile
Quickly turned and walked away
Elegance, grace and style
Your fake beauty on display
You broke into a dead run
Mocked, "You know I'll not commit."
Knowing I had been outdone
I sadly had to admit
You broke me!.
